This trip was put on to introduce people to outdoor climbing and the venue for Saturday was Borrowdale. After recent pretty miserable weather we were lucky to have a glorious day in the sunshine, and even the ground was far drier than expected. Excellent tutelage from the more experienced members of the group made for a very satisfying day out and a plan for St Sunday Crag the next day. However, the awful weather made a reappearance overnight so we escaped to the Howgill Fells for an enjoyable walk instead.
