The annual winter trip returned in 2023 with a week spent near Fort William. The day on Ben Nevis was described as the most exhausting mountain day ever. Ever! There was even a guest appearance by the aurora borealis.

After an inevitable break for 2021, the 2022 edition of the winter trip was based just outside Fort William. Making the best of conditions, there was one day where the safe option was indoor ice climbing in Kinlochleven.
